Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 Killstreak Rewards Explained

One of the best features of playing online in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the Killstreak Rewards. Picking 3 is hard enough on your own, and before unlocking they don't give you a very good description of what each reward does.

UAV - a UAV flies in the air above and broadcasts where your enemies are. This is already unlocked and a worthy killstreak to have if you don't usually have a long life.

Care Package - a Care Package is a random killstreak reward dropped from a helicopter, so make sure you are in an open area before throwing it. You may get an ammo refill or an EMP, it is completely random.

Counter UAV - a Counter UAV makes your enemies radar useless, which can be useful, but there are much better killstreak rewards.

Sentry Gun - a Sentry Gun is an airdrop package with an automatic turret that shoots the enemy, but if it is knifed it is no longer active. Good if you are playing domination, but it does not count towards your killstreak.

Predator - a Predator missile is controlled by you. It launches from the sky above and you are supposed to crash it as close as possible into an enemy. You can boost the missile by pressing RT.

Precision Airstrike - a Precision airstrike will have an airplane drop bombs where you want it to. Good for any time, but I would recommend a harrier strike instead.

Harrier Strike - a Harrier Strike is a plane that airstrikes an area and then hovers over the area with a turret. This is an awesome killstreak reward and counts towards your killstreak.

Attack Helicopter - an Attack Helicopter is a helicopter that goes around the map for a minute killing enemies, a solid choice for a killstreak reward.

Emergency Airdrop - an Emergency Airdrop gives you 4 care packages delivered by a helicopter. Great when your team needs to rally to win.

Pavelow - a Pavelow is a giant helicopter that is basically 2x what an Attack Helicoptder is. This really boosts your killstreak as it is a powerful weapon.

Stealth Bomber - a Stealth Bomber carpet bombs the entire area, meaning any enemeies in that area will receive certain death. Not a huge fan of the Stealth Bomber, but it is very useful in domination or capture the flag.

Chopper Gunner - a Chopper Gunner lets you man the turret of the gun as you fly around killing people. This is my favorite killstreak reward and you should have it unlocked if you want a tactical nuke.

AC 130 - an AC 130 is a big plane that flies high around the map. You can devastate the enemy with 3 different cannons, great for an open map like wasteland.

EMP - an EMP is another powerful weapon. It disables the electronics for the other team so non metal scopes aren't as accurate. It also crashes any airplane or destroys any sentry gun.

Tactical Nuke - a Tactical Nuke is the big daddy of all killstreak rewards. It ends the game by killing your whole team and the enemies. This is the goal for most gamers.
