If you have big bucks to spend and are not planning to use it in normal games, the electronic kind is great. These can shoot out 3 or more paintballs at a time each time you press the trigger.

The last type is called the stock gun. They are at a disadvantage because they also use the CO2 cartridges giving only 10 shots at a time. They are not that powerful, and if you are playing a normal paintball game, you might get your butt kicked and go home very bruised.

Some of the more popular paintball gun manufacturers are "Spyder", "Tippmann", and "Brass Eagle", but there are many others as well. The best thing you can do to try and find the best paintball gun is to try out several and see which one fits you the best. So not go out and spend a ton of money at first.
