Why would I need bow sights on a crossbow for?

Bow sights are needed to help you aim your arrow. Without this sight, you could be aiming blind and not hitting what you want to hit with your arrows. It is suggested that you have bow sights on your crossbow to help your aim and to help you to sight the exact distance that you would be away from either a target or an animal on the hunt. When hunting you don't get second chances very often, so a sight is the best thing for your bow. When aiming by eye only, your eyes can get fooled and you can miss a shot that could be vital to bringing down dinner or stopping trouble.

Yes, bow sights are a focusing agent. It is mainly there to help you to focus on the target and have a steady aim. As stated before, not having bow sights just compounds the problem of steady aim. These aids do not cost that much and they are not even that heavy. There really is no reason why you should not have one of these on your crossbow. They serve the same purpose as a sight does on a gun. That is to steady your aim. Nothing more, nothing less is what a sight's purpose truly is. I am afraid you did, my friend! These sights are an aid to sight and really nothing to be afraid of. I can understand why you wouldn't want to use one of these things, but in the long run, you will be better off by using one on your crossbow or compound bow. It does help you find the range much easier. You can do it without using a sight on your bow, but why would you want to do that! Make it easy on yourself. Purchase a sight for that bow and get out and hunt with the big dogs. See what you bring home as a reward.
